Pictures that tell stories

Not much in the way of news lately. We're keeping on, doing our thing (all of them) and generally smiling about it.

But it has been some time since we shared pictures. Here are a few of the rare keepers.

We had a few snows this past winter, both earlier and later than usual, but also very light. Most were just dustings. This photo shows what was probably the biggest accumulation, about 2 inches. I'm not kidding when I say "later than usual," though. Yesterday it snowed off and on all day long. It was 40 degrees most of the day, so it was only in the air, but still. Whoever heard of snow in this region on March 21? It was kind of magical.
The crew helped Dada celebrate 40.
"And many mo-o-o-ore!"
Wildlife rehabilitators came to the preserve for a talk about a pair of red-tailed hawks. Boy 2 got to see them
up close--up REALLY close--and personal. He's become quite the bird-watcher.
Girlie is deep into "Do MYSELF" lately. She won't sit for a picture, but you can see here just a
glimpse of the fabulous work she does on her hair with butterfly clips. All by herself.
I went to wake up Boy 1 for school the other day and found he was not only already awake,
but already a dozen pages into his new book. He does love his books.
