Boy 1: We have cookies ready for Santa and carrots for the reindeer?
Me: We have carrots, no cookies. Should we make some? What kind?
Boy 1: Yes. (thoughtful pause, then a wise look) Santa likes oatmeal cookies.
Me: How do you know?
Boy 1: Yeah, Santa want oatmeal cookies!

While driving around looking at people's outdoor light displays
Boy 2: Look! A snowman!
Boy 1: Oh yes. It's Frosty!
Boy 2: (seriously) No, it's not Frosty. It's just a snowman.
Dada: Why do you say that?
Boy 2: Because Frosty has a button nose. That snowman has a carrot.

Boy 1: I don't want Christmas to be in December. I want it to be in July. July Fourth.
Me: Why July 4? Independence Day is on July 4.
Boy 1: Because it shouldn't be in February.
Me: (weird look) Umm...
Boy 1: Yeah. February wouldn't be right either. We want July.
Can't argue with kid logic!
